As I always knew gaming can deliver more then only fun and enjoyment, it is now proven…. but still more research is needed offcourse… ; )

“In the present study, we add to an emerging body of literature suggesting video gaming can alter higher-level competencies by devising a gaming intervention and specifying diagnostic measures that are optimized to assess the effects of gaming on cognitive flexibility”

Starcraft is the game used for this research and to give an idea: over 300 APM (activities per minute) is required for Pro players, whatch this to get an idea about optimising mental flexibility:
